Hey deviants! :meow:
Long time, no see huh?

First off, thanks to all of you who sent me the awesome birthday wishes. I'm pleased to say it went over well, and again, nothing is different aside from adding one more year to the total tally.

Then there's the question, 'Where did Onyx go?' :eager:
Answer: Off to drama in my home life, mainly medical.

And again, just to confirm, nothing I have is life threatening. My body has just decided to declare war on itself. :P
I keep telling it no one is going to win but it doesn't listen, so I just sit back and hang on for the ride. All in all it's nothing all to unfamiliar. I do have some rather unsavory side effects to deal with thanks to all my conditions, but the main issues are the pain (which is on a very manageable scale most of the time) and tired.
I'm flipping exhausted all the time.
Which is the main reason I've been slacking off on my art and here online.
Within the next few months I have to go to quite a few different doctors. Hopefully they'll figure something out and I can stop wanting to sleep for ten to twelve hours a night.

I've also hit a bit of artists block. What time I do spend creatively is either used on sewing projects needed here around the house or, more often than not, in my writing.  I will say that I do miss my visual arts, and can't wait to really start creating great pieces again. And when I do you guys will be the first to see them, I promise. ;)
Maybe I'll work on a new deviant ID or a basic GIMP tutorial in the meantime....

Though, before I do anything that requires major computing power I have to replace my laptop's battery (it's finally going, bless it's little power cells) and I should be able to order that within the next couple of weeks.

Everyone else at home is fine though.
My brother's working on getting his drivers license.
My dad's temporary work schedule has the house in a weird from of controlled chaos. He still has a job - thank God - but his hours are nothing close to normal, so the last few months have been very strange. Even the animals have been thrown off by the change of pace. Hopefully this will all end within the next month and we can go back to having our semi-normal routine.
Also, all of our cars decided to have to throw temper-tantrums in one way or another.
But when it rains it pours, doesn't it?

All in all, things are okay. Just moving at a snail's pace.

So, how's everyone else doing? :o

 Hey there guys!

Everyone had a happy new year?

Yeah, yeah I know. I'm sorry for falling off the face of the earth and never keeping in touch with you guys. ^^;
Things had been a bit bananas around here the last few months.
So let me go back and cover all my bases.

To all the following deviants
violetlight, RomShuvano, GekkouKitsune, SapphireShine, Mama--Owl
puddinprincess, DanielAPierce, Pranxtorr, Leafbreeze7, K-O-Photography
CsThRuH2O, ice-or-fire and any others to whom I'm sorry if I've forgotten to mention, thank you for the wonderful birthday wishes.
They really helped make my day even more special.
I'd say thank you to each of you personally but dA likes to tell me I'm spamming people when I send too many messages with the words 'thank you' in them. :p

Life has returned to normal after my last update, at least for the most part.
Thank you all for the support after the loss that my entire family suffered this past summer. Again, your support was awesome more than generous.

And for any of you also wondering what happened to the puppy, he's fine thankfully.
Just incredibly stubborn.
And slightly dimwitted.
I always thought Pomeranians were intelligent but I think that gene skipped his generation.
The little demon doesn't like me, I'm not sure why, but he's taken to the men in my household and only listens to them. Which really is
inconvenient since I'm the one that's home with him 24/7. :iconheaddeskplz:

It also seems I'm destined to catch whatever flu is going around every year. I made it to Thanksgiving but unfortunately was down for the count at Christmas. Thankfully I seem to be better now and have made a full recovery. Now if I can just avoid it the next time it comes around. :fear:

As for my art, that has fallen to the back-burner.
I still have worked on projects, mainly digital paintings and such as well as a few tutorials that have been works-in-progress for a while. When they're completed I'll be sure to upload them.
Here in the most recent months though my creative outlet has been sewing actually.
I figured if I could make things we actually needed while learning a useful skill, why not right?
I don't think I'll post too much of that here unless it's a full completed project that isn't upholstery related, but I do have plans for a few pieces that might actually be of interest. So you may see them eventually, I'm still debating it.
I will try to get you guys something every month, an eye or mini-project and I'll be better about my responses and conversations with you guys.

So, what's going on with everyone? What have I missed? How were your holidays? :eager:
