My first shot at an emote scene.
All this week I've been wanting to do small, intricate work that didn't require me trying (and failing) to draw something small in GIMP. So when I stumbled upon `Mirz123's Emoticon Lane Project, which came with it's own house template by the way, I was thrilled.
I don't know if she has the space to include mine in her project but I had fun completing it anyways. Plus it's scratched the artistic itch that's been bugging me.
I had originally thought to do something similar to the Norman Rockwell classic America, but then decided to create something more realistic.
I know my emotes expressions are a bit off (again, I usually don't create emotes) so let's go through them shall we?Big Blue (Dad) is tired from blowing up the kiddy pool. As usual no one's swimming.
Little Blue has noticed the family has a visitor.
And he's trippin'.Mom's noticed Lil' Blue's behavior and is wondering what's up with her kid.
To the right, Sinister Red is sitting in the bushes being all sinister.

Little Lime is having a blast pretending he's Superman.
Or maybe he's just hyperactive.Black Cat fail in the window.
WHERE'S WALDO?
In total about 12 - 15 hours work.
P.S. New manipulation out this Thursday!
Taking the night off but will be working on it tomorrow for sure.
Any suggestions or inspiration by the way?

So sorry about the delay in response by the way.
GIMP is essentially the free version of Photoshop.
It's what I use for EVERYTHING!
Do you have to download it from the inernet? Or buy the software to install?
And NO, it's completely free!
There is no way I could afford it.
You do have to download and install it but it's worth it really.
