So, if you've seen my userpage you know I'm now addicted to the adoptables sight Dragon Cave.

Well, they have some really amazing sprite dragons on the site (With many of the artists being on dA) and well...
I got inspired.
I'm having a hard time with my manipulations (Though I'll have one out for Valentines Day I promise. ) So I decided to create a dragon.

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the Blue Morpho Dragon!
My first original species!

Based (obviously) off of the Blue Morpho Butterfly species.

I don't see butterfly dragons all too often, and rarely see one with the Blue Morpho pattern and thought it'd make a beautiful species of dragon.
So here they are.

To the RIGHT is FEMALE.
To the LEFT is the MALE.
He has darker color and markings for a reason.

This is my first sprite creature before, so forgive me if there are mistakes.
I love prancing dragons, so I based their lines off of that.
The wings and coloration were all designed by me, free-handed.
All in all a little under ten hours work for the two.
And the second went much faster than the first.
I'm also working on creating hatchlings and an egg for the species as well.
And I have faith they won't take ten hours to complete.
Was a .gif image but I needed a background, and something for my siggy to show up on.
Sorry.

PLEASE do not use these beauties yourself!
I worked quite hard on them and would not like them to be strewed around the web.
